Rev. Dr. Harold A. Middlebrook
Born in Memphis on July 4, 1942, the Reverend Harold Middlebrook was a friend of the Reverend Doctor Martin Luther King Jr. and an active member of the civil rights movement. Middlebrook received his bachelor’s degree from Atlanta’s Morehouse College in 1963. He was ordained as a minister in 1966. His contributions to the civil rights movements are numerous. To bring the DuPage County community together to celebrate the life, legacy and words of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. by remembering his leadership in social justice, his compassion and commitment to equality, his courage to do the right thing, and his respect for racial, cultural, ethnic and religious diversity and gender equality, so that all might be inspired to strive for the fulfillment of Dr. King’s dream.
